Rubber process oils functions as a plasticizer, improving the process ability and filter incorporation, or as extender. Rubber Process Oils are normally classified into three basic types depending upon the presence of Carbon atom, namely Aromatic, Paraffinic & Naphthenic Oil.
Rubber Process Oil
SPEL has a wide range of standard as well as customized Rubber Process Oils to cater manufacturers of a variety of rubber products like NR, SBR, PBR, Butyl and EPDM based rubber Products.
SPEL Rubber process oils are obtained from petroleum (crude oil), after the more volatile petrol and heating oil fractions have been separated through distillations. Rubber Process oil are mixtures of paraffin, naphthalene and other aromatic compounds of varies molecular weight distribution and used as processing aid in manufacturing of rubber products.

SPEL RUB 590 Naphthenic Rubber Process Oil
This is a naphthenic type of Rubber Process Oil, specially developed to meet the requirement of the major Tyre manufacturer. The product is used to make the fabric-coating compound, used in coating Nylon Tyre cords of passenger vehicle tyres.
SPEL RUB 165 Paraffinic Rubber Process Oil
This is highly paraffinic medium viscosity type Rubber Process Oil specially developed for use as plasticiser in the manufacture of EPDM Rubbers. The oil particularly possesses great resistance to evaporation loss.
SPEL RUB 245 Paraffinic Rubber Process Oil
This is a light-coloured paraffinic type of Rubber Process Oil and has good colour stability. It also has high flash point and good high temperature properties, having low solvency. It finds greatest use in Butyl and Ethylene Propylene Rubber. It is recommended for use in the processing of light-coloured Rubber good such as white walled Tyres, Shoe soles, Toys, Sporting goods etc.
SPEL RUB 255 Paraffinic Rubber Process Oil
This is a highly paraffinic type of Rubber Process Oil specially developed for compounding purpose of Shoe sole application. The oil has moderate solvency power with low evaporation loss.
SPEL RUB 710 Aromatic Rubber Process Oil
This is an aromatic type of Rubber Process Oil and due to the presence of double bonds. It is the less stable compared to SPEL RUB 245 and SPEL RUB 541. It is dark in colour and has good solvency making it compatible with most Rubber Polymers. It finds extensive use in the manufacture of Automobile Tyres, Belting, Battery cases etc. where colour is not an important factor.
SPEL RUB 715 Aromatic Rubber Process Oil
This is an aromatic type of Rubber Process Oil with higher viscosity and is specifically developed for use as an extender oil in the manufacture of Styrene Butadiene Rubber.
